Frequently asked questions
We are here to help you with any questions you may have. If you don't find what you need, please contact us at team@ideanix.online
Why are we charging ₹999?
Straight answer — the ₹999 registration fee goes directly into the prize pool. Every rupee collected from registrations funds the ₹10,000, ₹5,000 and ₹3,000 prizes that winners take home. Free events get hundreds of sign-ups and empty rooms. When you've paid, you show up, you do the work, and you get the most out of it. The fee is not a cost — it's your stake in the competition.
Is ₹999 per person or per team?
₹999 is per participant. Each team member registers individually — which covers all 3 days of live sessions, all materials, mentor access, and full entry into the pitch competition. No hidden charges after registration.
What if I register and can't attend — do I get a refund?
Registrations are non-refundable once confirmed, but if you notify us before the program starts we will carry your registration forward to the next cohort. We won't leave you with nothing.
Do I need a startup idea before joining?
No. You can come with a rough idea, a problem you've noticed, or even just curiosity. Day 1 is specifically designed to help you identify and validate a real problem worth solving. Many of the best participants start with zero ideas and leave with a validated concept.
Do I need any technical skills or coding knowledge?
None at all. Day 3 covers MVP development using no-code tools that anyone can use — Notion, Canva, Typeform, and others. No coding, no design experience needed. If you can use a smartphone, you can build a prototype in this program.
Can I participate alone or do I need a team?
Both are welcome. You can register as an individual or as a team of up to 4 people. Solo founders participate fully in all sessions and are eligible for the pitch competition. Many solo participants produce the strongest ideas in the room.
How many hours per day does this require?
Each day has approximately 3–4 hours of live sessions, typically in the evening so it doesn't conflict with college or work. You will also spend 1–2 hours working on your own idea between sessions. Total time commitment across 3 days is roughly 15–18 hours.
Will the sessions be recorded? What if I miss one?
Yes. All sessions are recorded and shared with registered participants within 24 hours. We strongly recommend attending live because the feedback and interaction is where the real learning happens — but you will not miss the content if something comes up.
Is every participant in the pitch competition or only selected teams?
All registered participants go through the full 3-day program. The final pitch competition features selected teams based on the progress they make during the bootcamp. If your idea and execution are strong, you will be selected. The goal is to get as many strong pitches as possible in front of the judges.
Who are the judges?
The panel includes founders, operators, and advisors from the Ideanix ecosystem and the broader Indian startup community. Judge names will be announced before the event. These are people who have built and funded real businesses — not just academics.
Does my idea need to be completely original to win?
Originality helps but it is not the only thing judges look at. A well-validated problem, a clear market, a realistic business model, and a confident pitch will always score higher than a flashy idea with no substance. Execution thinking beats novelty every time.
What format is the final pitch — how long do we get?
Each team gets 5 minutes to present, followed by 3–5 minutes of questions from the judges. You will have a full pitch deck ready from Day 3. Mock pitch sessions on Day 3 prepare you for the real thing.
What happens after the bootcamp ends?
Top teams get featured on Ideanix's platforms and get continued access to the Ideanix founder community. We also offer ongoing support for teams that want to keep building — business plans, financial models, GTM strategy, and more. The bootcamp is the starting point, not the finish line.
I am not a student. Can I still join?
Yes. The program is open to students, early-stage founders, professionals who want to start something, and anyone curious about the startup world. No age limit, no degree requirement, no experience needed.
How is this different from a free YouTube tutorial or online course?
YouTube teaches you concepts. This program makes you apply them — to your own idea, in real time, with feedback from real people. You don't watch someone else build a startup. You build yours. The community, the accountability, the live mentorship, and the competitive pressure of a pitch competition are things no YouTube video can give you.
